When we look out of our own windows - or into another's window - what do we see? People find distinctive and idiosyncratic ways to represent themselves in their own habitats, and that ranges from wielding their heirloom antiques in front of the curtains to the clumsy misplacement of a nearby kettle. Home is a major facet of how an individual represents themselves on a personal basis, whether it be a desire to demonstrate wealth or to shy away from public scrutiny.

Collecting images of interiors motivated an interest in exploring how windows are the key to someone's rich inner life. It shows how vulnerability is tangible through a dim and sparse study. It shows how the eccentric collage of glittering stickers can operate as a shield from a world of outsiders. And it shows how we subconsciously reflect elements of ourselves in our most intimate abode, regardless of the emotion attached to the action.
